The milk crates and shopping carts are stolen. Our KOCB volunteers try to return then to where they belong to keep out of the land fills.

Since the city no longer picks up litter and is overwhelmed with illegal dumping. They have come up with Keep Oakland Clean and Beautiful. The city supplies volunteer groups with plastic and green waste bags, pick up sticks, gloves, safety vests and loans out tools. This is now the only way to keep the litter and trash down in our neighborhood the Dimond Dist there are groups all over Oakland. The city pick up from our drop spot. it looks like the Health Dept sent their crew yesterday, but they did not clear all out. The encampment its still there with lots of other stuff, The paints etc.. Our neighborhood is getting exposed and attracting all other stuff like trash, abandoned vehicles, trailers & other criminal activities etc..
