Truck signage is present at the intersection of Pacific Avenue with Center Street and Grand Street with Center Street. The approved truck route for the 99 Hudson construction site near the end of Grand Street utilizes Columbus Drive and Greene Street, not Grand Street. Other construction projects located along Grand Street, such as at the intersection of Grand Street & Jersey Avenue and Grand Street & Grove Street are permitted to utilize Grand Street as they are making local deliveries.

Your reply confirms that there is NO reason whatsoever for any construction truck to be headed West on Grand by Washington and Warren -- why did you close the issue after confirming the trucks originally reported were in fact in violation -- we need enforcement !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Inquiring about status as the problem continues ( and is now worsening as the commercial delivery trucks (e.g. yellow tail wine, mason paper supplies etc,) have joined the caravan.)

This is being address and was sent to the East District Police Station.

This is some sort of joke about bad government --- absolutely nothing has been done about the problem reported more than 10 days ago --the problem remains and has grown -- but somehow it is marked 'CLOSED" because each city employee who touched it referred it to another city employee--sometimes referring it back again to someone who previously closed it -- it should be left open until someone actually does something ( and if the past is any indication of the future the east district will say that there are not enough signs) PLEASE DO SOMETHING CONCRETE TO FIX THIS

Why has this been closed ? The only thing anyone did was let it sit ignored first for ten days and than for three weeks and than closed it. The problem continues unabated and indeed it has intensified. It is difficult to say which event best characterizes the frustration. Maybe it is the Mr. John truck (the people who clean out the porta johns) barreling down Grand Street toward the turnpike. Maybe it's the uniformed police officer who didn't ticket the huge construction truck that had inappropriately used Grand instead of Columbus -- he just helped the truck driver in making a left turn across oncoming traffic.

If no one in City Hall is responsible for rectifying the problem please provide the name and phone number of the person outside of City Hall who bears the responsibility for rectifying the situation and in reliance on that advice I will reach out to that individual.

So I did reach out -- called this morning to the number you provided and was told Officer Lionakis would be back @ 2 pm and I should call after 2. Called at 4 pm and the officer who answered the phone this time said that Officer Lionakis is not located at that office ( or number) and that I should try Officer Lionakis at Officer Lionakis' office at 201-547-5795. Called that number and it rang and rang and rang-- no one answered and no ability to leave a voicemail. Please provide valid contact info.

This issue was addressed. JCPD was notified for traffic monitoring.
