From what I understand from the ordinance, there should be NO SMOKING any where along Grand between Airport and Spruce as well as any of the side streets such as Walnut, Maple, Linden and Cypress. Also, the NO SMOKING signs should be more numerous (currently about 8 signs) and at eye level (with the exception of the 2 that already are) and two-sided. The only way a smoker will see the signs is if that person walks down the street looking up towards the sky so they may be able to spot the sign. Of course, that person will only see the sign if they are moving in the direction the sign is facing. The same is true of the NO BICYCLE signs. There seems to be enough of them, but they are too high to be seen and are also only single sided.

The No smoking for the library or any other city building still remains in effect. There are 14 No smoking signs on or near grand ave, not including the ones on the library and all city building for 20 ft from the buildings

Addressed? The entire block (Grand - Maple - Miller - Walnut) is now off-limits to smoking. The 20-feet rule has been superceeded since 2013. The current signs are therefore incorrect and there aren't any signs near or at the library that reflect this change.

"ENFORCEMENT" That's the key.

I have installed 2 No smoking signs( double sided). One at grand and walnut and one at walnut and miller.
