Are permits required for roof replacement? demolition? siding? window replacement? or when a team generally overhauls a house? and if so: must they be posted for others to see?
I do not know the rules of engagement regarding permits so please inform if these actions even require paperwork. Thanks for your time, I can only assume from all the posts how busy you all must be!

There is nothing posted now, nor has there been since work commenced.

It is difficult to understand why this issue has gone this long without resolution.
If permits are required and none are posted, why no repercussion?
Many other issues reported after this have been closed...two weeks and nothing?!

Annie, I have an inspector going there today to see if there are any issues related to our department. I have also reached out to DGS to see if they have had a chance to investigate as well.

Rick, thank you for sending someone but the result has been invisible to our eyes, and we walk by everyday...no posted permits and my neighbor still has the big piece of curb they dumped on his lawn. Something doesn't add up.

Annie, I agree that this smelled foul from the get go and to dump a slab of curb on a neighbors lawn with impunity is absurd!!!
But on the bright side: at least they are in the process of making an eyesore presentable(i hope).

The owner of 35 Glenwood is RECKDE LLC (Ron Stein) who just got the big Park South deal done with the city. See link. I am sure the word has come from on high to ignore the little people this time so the big money isn't annoyed with silly things like permits, et al...!

Hi Annie. My inspector did not find any code violations that our department would have to deal with. DGS is the department that the work that was done would fall under so you should check with them.

there is an orange stop work order in the window today.

the scoop: BRC did nothing. a neighborhood resident called the Mayor's office directly and outlined the problem resulting in the Stop Work Order.
