Description
Why is there not a 'No Parking this side of street' on the west side of 23rd st in the 800 block like the rest of 23rd st from 1st ave thru 7th Ave. parking on both sides of this block is a traffic hazard coming off of 9th ave.

The street is no wider than any other part of 23rd St where one side parking has been in force for a very long time. This would only extend to this block what is common throughout the Kenwood neighborhood. It seems that there used to be a sign on this block in years past.
With cars presently parked on both sides of the street I have been forced to stop on 9th Ave to wait for traffic to come out since only one car can pass when there is parking on both sides. This is a very dangerous situation since traffic on 9th Ave travels at a high rate of speed.

23rd Street between 5th and 7th Avenues N = 27' Wide and parking has been prohibited on the west side since before we kept records.
23rd Street between 7th and 9th Avenues N = 23' Wide and parking has never been prohibited on either side as far back as our records go 2007.
In order to have perking restricted on the west side someone would need to contact me an obtain a petition to be circulated to the homes directly affected. If at least 2/3 rds sign in favor we can post the restriction.
I can be reached at 893-7843.

Also, why would a narrower street, according to your numbers, not have restrictions and while a wider street does?? This does not make sense.
