On July 3rd, 2017 about 7:15 PM, another big branch from the tree on 850 East 17th Street, Brooklyn, fell on top of garage of 809 East 16th Street. This is the 2nd time of falling big branches from the same tree in 19 days.

Finally Malek Management, which manages the building at 850 East 17th Street Brooklyn, contracted a tree crew to remove the fallen branch and the big branch lean toward 809 East 16th Street Brooklyn on Friday July 7, 2017 from 4 PM to 6 PM; and remove the rest of the tree on Saturday July 8, 2017 from 9 AM to 6 PM. All the tree debris were removed through the property on 809 East 16th Street and causing more damage to shed, garden and pavement.

The main trunk of the tree was rotted from top to bottom, all the way down to the root. There were at least 3 sets of heavy outdoor antenna with metal poles found within the tree branches.

Now the safety issue related to the dying tree is resolved but Malek Management refused to pay for the damages caused by the dying tree to properties owners at 809 and 817 East 16th Street, Brooklyn.
