Description
At the intersection of 29th Ave. and Ford Street (heading towards Alameda, coming off the overpass) the brand new left turn arrow seems to be set too high on the pole. When I am the first car waiting to turn left I can't see the signal when I'm sitting normally, have to lean way forward over the steering wheel, which isn't the best position to be in while driving. I hate to complain about this because I am SOOOO happy to have the signal at this intersection, but it seems like it would be a fairly easy fix.

Nice to be able to make an easy turn into our neighborhood, but I am already seeing increased traffic and at high speeds done Ford St. There was a near accident at Ford & Derby this morning, because many people forget that intersection is ONLY a two way stop.

My personal opinion is that the folks in Alameda can suck it up for a while. The old way was everyone else waiting for them to pour off their island before we could get through anywhere in that whole roundabout...they can wait for a light and give everyone else a chance for a change. And there are about to be a whole lot more people needing to get across from Ford street, given all the construction happening there, so we really need the light. Not to mention the pedestrians...
I'm not saying take out the left turn signal, just lower it a bit so people can see it. The fact that Ford street is only one lane wide means the signal is closer to the oncoming cars than a normal one would be...so it needs to be lower.
