Description

The traffic signal for the MacArthur BART frontage Road northbound at 40th Street does not detect bicycles or give them a green light. Just now I waited here in the middle of the lane behind the crosswalk for over five minutes and never got a green light. Since this is one bike route intersecting another bike route, it is imperative that the signal detect bikes in all directions. Ideally this signal should not be actuated at all, but on a timed phase 24/7, since pedestrian and bike traffic levels are so high, immediately next to the BART station.
