I don't see anyone not stopping for a stop sign in this photo. Did you think to give a friendly reminder to the cyclist? It would have taken as long to have a short, respectful dialog with the person as it would to take a photo and put up a post on SCF.

Photo taken after the fact. Calling the police doesn't do a thing. Impossible to talk to them unless you pull over and block their travel. Cyclists wont stop to talk. Plus, altercation avoided.

all I get is the middle finger from cyclist when politely reminding them of wrong-way travel and violations...it is not worth calling police, it is too late, we can't follow the cyclist to find out where they go, and can't call while driving..This city caters to bikes...total idiocy

@iceu I appreciate that you want cyclists to ride safely, I do as well. I get similar reactions from drivers who are playing with their cell phones while driving and I remind them it's against the law. People who are going to be scofflaw are going to do it unless there is 100% enforcement, which isn't doable.

I think better education and outreach is the best we can do as a society at this point in time.

btvHobbies, if only education worked. these people know they are breaking the laws. a 10 year old knows not to ride with cars. outreach means the law-abiders must conform, that is anarchy. we need enforcement.
