Commercial vehicles parked there all the time. All night and weekends.
I've call the police a bunch of times about this... they removed the dumpster because it became a restroom, then the all day drunk panhandlers started craping in the mangroves. The city even tried removing the picknick tables to get them to leave. Didn't work.
Best part is these guys live on a bunch of old saleboats just off shore of the park. Police say theres nothing that can be done. Best they can do is enforce the park closure at dusk... they just row out to there sale boats and wait till sunrise.
Really like to know if there is anything that can be done? I can't enjoy the park, boat ramp, or family areas at all. I've lived hear for 15yrs and can enjoy something we all pay for.

We all figured our complaints have reached chanell 8 and we will clean it after all it is our park and our responsibility to help with the upkeep. we are taking our parks back are you? see you both there.

Ask the Police Marine unit to enforce boating rules. A vessel at anchor must show an anchor light from sunset to sunrise. A vessel in Florida waters over 90 days must have and display a current Florida vessel registration (Decal on left side of boat). If it is not documented with the U.S. COast Guard, they must show Florida registration numbers on both sides of the bow. Any toilet on board should be a type II or type III, if someone is living aboard.
The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
If you think for any reason that the issue you submitted in the past might still be unresolved, please feel free to submit a new report with the SeeClickFix St. Pete website and we will make sure the issue is directed to the appropriate City department to be addressed as soon as possible.
