Contractors not allowed to leave debris on sidewalks. Streets, especially the bike paths/lanes, should be treated the same way.

Still not fixed and I've reported it again separately. I'm very, very disappointed in the lack of service and response from employees in the City of Decatur. Normally I love living here and brag about our city - but this has been an extremely disappointing interaction. I don't know if the app is just for "show" or if this is just how our city employees treat the residents in general as u haven't had to interact with them much in the past. I'm very, very disappointed. Please clean up the bike lanes and please make the construction companies keep them clean - I'll buy them the broom if it is too much for them.

I don't understand the response. You are "working to organize the work and get everything scheduled to be completed". Does this mean you are scheduling people to actual sweep the bike lanes? If that is the case, what are you doing to ensure that the construction companies actually keep them clean? The rocks did not spring out of the roadway like Athena came from Zeus or mushrooms appear after a rain. If you don't make the workers clean up at the end of the day - do a sweep of the paths and remove the rocks - it will get full again. Or, are you talking about some other work that is getting done. Please help me understand what is actually happening - I thought that this is what this app was all about.

I've worked on all kinds of projects similar to this - and at the end of the day - 10 minutes before we leave - we always had to clean up the site and the surrounding area. How hard is it for the construction companies to do this. How hard is it to keep their debris out of the stupid lanes - I have to choose to either be potentially hit by a car or navigate through tons of rocks to stay safe. Seriously, 5 minutes at the end of the day and a broom solves this problem.

So disappointed. This has NEVER been addressed. Nothing has been done - the bike path is still full of rocks. It's sad tat the City of Decatur employees would ignore this request and do nothing. It's sad that the city is using this app to pretend to give residents a voice in reporting issues when they dont actually address them. I'm very saddened by this.
