Description

A friend, a sr citizen lady, tripped on this 1" lip in the sidewalk outside Parker's on Ponce at lunchtime on Feb 9th. While it may not appear to be a significant hazard, the result was severe: A bleeding gashed eyebrow, attendance by FD paramedics & 2 lady CoD police officers, then an ambulance, and finally 4 hrs in the DeKalb Medical ER getting treated and checked. Thankfully it appears there will be no long term damage beyond a black & blue face, soreness etc. Thanks too to the able passers by who provided immediate aid.
City of Decatur, surely this is enough evidence to get this hazard fixed! A police report by the attending officers & case no can be provided if needed.
