City does receive request for trees not to be planted from time to time. A mailing indicating tree to be planted mailed to this address but there was no response. Right of way extends 12 ft from edge of road extending into yard. Sweet gum planted will add color in the fall to this area. Original plant site was added to inventory from a Davey survey of city done in 2009 of the city. Your lot does have a number of mature trees and often will decline or be removed once this tree matures. The best time to plant a tree is 30 yrs ago for those areas without a canopy. This is not true of your area but existing canopy will change over that span of time. I see already there exists a private dead elm in vicinity of the Sweet gum. Once trees are planted we do not remove trees but they are inventoried with all maintenance done by city which is true of all trees within 12 feet of edge of road inright of way.

I'll just note that several large trees on this section of Fountain were lost over the last several years. One each on the lots where the new trees were just planted. And another one in the next lot to the north.
