Greenway and Urban Forestry crews removed the blockages along the creek for the entirety of the City property.

Thank you. The guys from Greenway and Urban Forestry came by today and cut the tree in pieces so that it no longer leaned over the creek which is great. However, I still have a huge root ball that ripped from the bank of the creek that is unsecure, and the tree was all left in the wooded area on the other side of the creek. They suggested I contact Stormwater Management in regard to shoring up the banks of this creek and dealing with this root ball.

I have not received any response on the "reopened" comments above. This creek is eroding away and the root ball pulled away from the bank is making matters worse. Please let me know if this is something that is planned to be addressed. Its not an emergency, but I'd like to know its in the works.

Mr. Taylor, Stormwater Management staff reviewed this location and reported that it doesn’t appear that the rootball is posing a significant immediate threat to the stream channel and that is well away from any habitable structures. Overall, the entire stream segment does demonstrate areas of urban stream erosion and channel incisement. Specific to this particular location, there is very little vegetative cover on the banks, which are also contributing to conditions. Please be advised that staff will continue to monitor conditions over time should they worsen and that you are encouraged to call Stormwater Management directly to discuss this further: 919-996-3940.
