Description

Residents in parking zone 11 (zone 11A as classified with the Parking Dept for tracking purposes) have not been receiving their parking permit renewal forms via mail for the past 3 months. The zone was expanded in April 2015, so permits have been coming up on their 1 year expiration date since April 2016. We've notified the Parking Director and Councilpersons of this problem repeatedly beginning in early May, and it still has not been remedied. Yet residents are getting tickets for expired permits (that they never got renewal forms/notices on!) and the Parking Dept doesn't even have a published working phone number or website for residents to get help! This is maddening. We've asked countless times for the applications to be mailed again (Director says the city had a "mail problem") or at the very least flyers put on cars with these permits explaining the problem, how to renew, and a VALID phone number, a remediation deadline and an apology. This has been going on for 3 months now. Its a big problem!
