  • 123 Duncan Ave Jersey City, New Jersey - West Side
The entire length of sidewalk on the Duncan Cr. side of 123 Duncan is badly broken, with lots of weeds and grass. I've reported this many time over the years, yet it never gets fixed. Its dangerous. Also, the old curb on this sidewalk (Duncan ct. side of 123 Duncan Ave) is crumbling. My understanding is the city is responsible for the curb repair. When can that get done?

A "Speed Hump" Road sign has fallen down on the sidewalk
  • 737 Montgomery Street Jersey City, New Jersey - McGinley Square
Constant illegally parked cars in the bus stop, keeping bus from accessing the stop. In fact, today at 2pm as I was passing this area, the bus heading East on Montgomery could not pull over at all because there were 3-5 cars parked illegally blocking the entire stop. To make matters worse, a parking scooter #0509 drove behind the bus, passing it on the drivers side and zipped down Montgomery doing absolutely NOTHING about the illegally parked vehicles it just witnessed. Enforcement officer just ignored it. When buses cannot use the stop because of the cars parked illegally, it causes extreme traffic backup on Montgomery crossing Bergen heading east. This needs much more vigilance for enforcement. Officer who ignored this needs to be addressed that ignoring the problem in NOT ok.

This large tree has several dead branches high up that need to be trimmed ASAP as hey are in danger of falling. In fact, on branch already fell on about 5/15 during a wind storm and damaged my car parked below it. I now have a claim with my insurance company to fix the dents. This tree is in danger of hurting others and damaging more property.

Residents in parking zone 11 (zone 11A as classified with the Parking Dept for tracking purposes) have not been receiving their parking permit renewal forms via mail for the past 3 months. The zone was expanded in April 2015, so permits have been coming up on their 1 year expiration date since April 2016. We've notified the Parking Director and Councilpersons of this problem repeatedly beginning in early May, and it still has not been remedied. Yet residents are getting tickets for expired permits (that they never got renewal forms/notices on!) and the Parking Dept doesn't even have a published working phone number or website for residents to get help! This is maddening. We've asked countless times for the applications to be mailed again (Director says the city had a "mail problem") or at the very least flyers put on cars with these permits explaining the problem, how to renew, and a VALID phone number, a remediation deadline and an apology. This has been going on for 3 months now. Its a big problem!

Very dangerous patch of sidewalk, been this way for a very long time. Its on the NS side of Fairmount, at the corner of the old Alps Restaurant Building. Its right by several parking meters. The one patches only the concrete "islands" in it, are actually loose pieces of concrete. Very very dangerous, especially where there is snow and ice. How can we get this fixed? I have several images, but its only letting me upload one.
