This is a citywide issue. With kids going back to school, I suggest notices go out especially to houses along safe routes to school paths.

Code inforcement will advise on measures required from property owners. We will look at what we can do.

One possibility is to send a reminder like was in the Decatur Focus about a year ago from Mr Younger. Could send to all school and neighborhood list serves. And mention perhaps that this is an especially good time to check your walk as kids and parents will begin walking to school next week. And to remember when (if!) it rains bushes and shrubs usually hang further into the walk.

Property is fenced about 15 ft above/beyond sidewalk. Owners may not claim issue as theirs.
