Quality of life! This east side of Oak Islamnd is so small consisting of 4 streets argyle-ellerton-arcadia and York st. It has become a thug and drug neighborhood and we are afraid to walk our streets. There is a large group 15-20 men not kids 25-40 yrs of age that are around all day drinking, breeding pit bulls (23 Argyle st.smoking,selling dope growing weed plants and selling heroin. I reached out numerous times over the years and still the same. They all carry knives or stunners..They hang in and on their cars on Argyle st. in the day..Please move them along. I know this is not the right site but anything to get the Mayor's attention. We never see cruisers in our neighborhood and would love to see some patrols even bike patrols in the summer. All my neighbors have moved or want too but are stuck financially.. Please help! It sickens me to pay such hi taxes and live in misery..Unfortunately since the police cameras have been put in Oak Island park the thugs now hang on our streets. If a cruiser could park on Argyle street even once a week a few minutes to show presence?
