Description
The park just opened a year ago. But the plantings are so unkempt the look like overgrown weeds and so so ugly.
IDEA: let green-thumbed island residents do the gardening. Or better idea: parcel out plots to be used as urban gardens like the one at the north end!

The plantings at SouthPoint Park are all native plants that are currently being worked on in a collaborative effort by our friends of SouthPoint Park and an outside landscaper. Residents interested in assisting these effort can contact the Parks and Recreation department at 212-832-4559.
