I have contacted Duke Energy already and filed a claim; however, I want the city to follow up. Unbeknownst to me and without permission, Duke ran a pole on top of my house and through my barrel tile roof (cracking tiles) to anchor its new electric line. I have owned this home since 2002 and never had this issue. I want to verify with zoning or any other department the rights of the utilities to have done this. I'm aware of utility easements, but cannot believe that the city would allow an easement to justify damaging my property. Please respond

The City of St Petersburg periodically reviews past reports that are made from citizens within our city limits, and in an effort to clean-up old issues that were resolved some time ago, we are marking as 'closed' those issues that were submitted in the past for which the work has been completed or the issue has otherwise been resolved.
