These collapsible devices make me MUCH more cognizant of pedestrians. Please consider adding them near Northside school.

The top of the hill on Barton at Northside Elementary needs further traffic calming and markings. Please consider the collapsible devices now available.

Please, please, please do something about the crazy traffic around Northside STEAM, both on Pontiac trail and Barton drive! Why do we always wait till something bad happens to act???

I also love the new pedestrian marker on Division. It really makes you slow down and notice what's happening on each side of the road where you're driving. Pontiac Trail and Barton markers would be very welcome in our neighborhood.

PLEASE consider the new pedestrian markers near Northside STEAM school along Pontiac Trail. 98% drivers drive over the 25 mi speed limit. Kids need to cross at Taylor to get to school. Cars do not stop. The school crossing signs are dull and blocked by trees.

Barton / Pontiac Trail NEEDS MORE SAFETY!

We really need more safety around Northside/A2STEAM. I want my kids to walk and bike regularly, but people making right hand turns often forget to look for children starting to cross when turning right on Barton Drive / Pontiac Trail in a hurry.

The signs you are referring to were and are part of a research project being done in conjunction with MDOT and Western Michigan University. This research project is specifically targeted at determining the effectiveness of in-street signage designed to create a “gateway treatment” at an uncontrolled pedestrian crossings. The sites have been pre-selected and after staff have analyzed the data will make a determination as to their effectiveness and possible locations to deploy them.
