7th Ave N has become a thoroughfare and is becoming increasingly dangerous for Uptown residents There are two families with children on this corner in particular, and people drive through here at 40-50mph regularly How might we go about getting a stop sign or speed bump installed out there? (7th Ave & 8th Street N )

The process for obtaining Speed Humps will require you to contact the Department of Transportation Planning directly at 727-551-3301.
You will be required to give you name, phone number, address, be a resident on this roadway and be willing to circulate and return a City of St. Petersburg issued petition with a 2/3 majority of the residents being in favor of humps if the speed study shows speed humps are warranted by having an 85% average operating speed of 35 mph or greater.
