PLEASE SEE REQUEST # 4159710 made on 02/23/2018. That post goes into greater detail regarding the problem. The puddles are still there. When they re-paved the street they focused on the center of the road but didn't pave up to the edge. The puddles never went away because the unevenness that needs to be corrected is at the very edge of the road, where it meets the sidewalk, that is the area that needs to be filled in.
Description
From 625 Summit ave to the crosswalk in front of the library. Both sides of Summit Ave, from intersection to mid-block. There are loooooong puddles where the sidewalk meets the street. When it rains, pedestrians get splashed by cars. The photo shows a splash zone on the sidewalk caused by vehicles. This is a small sample of what usually happens. When there is heavier rain, the entire sidewalk gets splashed! And on the other side, of the street, the puddles splash all over the people waiting at the bus stop.

"We have added this section to our potential list of roads"
This is an issue that has persisted for 6 years at this point. Request # 4159710 made on 02/23/2018. How many cycles of road programs do residents in Five Corners have to sit through before an issue is fixed? If it's not too much trouble, maybe you can find it in your heart (and budget) to even out the edges of the street so we stop getting splashed with filthy road water when it rains. I know there are complaints up about the intersection of Newark, Summit, and Hoboken being a mine-field of unevenness... this issue can be fixed simultaneously as it is right there in the vicinity. Please see this post from 6 years ago, the problem areas are marked in green: https://seeclickfix.com/web_portal/PTzvqioTdUqpwQchKJx1dMyo/issues/4159710
Thank you.
