I'm writing about a project you started - replacing sidewalks- in my neighborhood, Sebring, Columbia, MD, entire frontage of my house the sidewalk was removed (jack-hammered out) on Nov. 30, 2023, and then re-installed and completed later the next week.
For an unknown reason, my portion of dirt was not replaced with the same dark soil and then seeded. The rest of the street from the end of my property down to the court the sidewalks had dark fertilized soil and then seeded and now grass is beginning to grow. There is no grass growing along either side of the sidewalk replaced in front of my property.
In addition, I paid my landscaper three weeks prior to the start of your sidewalk replacement project to aireate and seed my entire lawn and the grass on both sides of the sidewalk were done as well and grass was just beginning to grow from my seeding.

This area was restored and seeded as per usual practice.
The frequent and heavy rains this early December washed some of the restorative efforts away and it was far too late in the season for a revisit that would accomplish anything except wasting materials.
The contractor is aware that they have to revisit their previously completed areas in the spring once grass-growing season begins in a few months to correct any areas where the soil washed away and/or grass didn't establish.
