Description
DOT has Hillsborough Street closed again, and the detour requires cars to turn left onto Trinity Rd... Maybe the State Fair timing is still in place, but the left turn signal is only up for 11 seconds out of 105 second light cycles - traffic backs up because the left arrow immediately turns red, even when there is no other traffic. Can we get this light re-timed?

Well, Hillsborough Street was reopened (thank you!), but then DOT closed it again today for more excavation. I happened to be heading back through the detour in the opposite direction around 3pm today and there were 28 (twenty-eight!) cars stuck waiting to turn left at Trinity.
At eleven seconds to turn left, maybe 2-3 cars can get through.
28/3 = 9.3 light cycles to clear = more than 16 minutes. Yikes.
Please send someone out to re-clock this light? Please?

Wow, I tried to find another way to report this with NCDOT - web search gave me a phone number but they said Wake county has their own office - could not forward my call. They close at 3:30pm. I left a message.
Here's the number: 919-536-4000
I also tried to submit and online request at the NCDOT website - failed the first time (does not work with Safari), second attempt with a Chrome browser went through. Fingers crossed.
They really don't make this easy!

OK, another piece of the puzzle supplied in the response to my NCDOT report...

...and here it is on see click fix since mid-November categorized as 'unaffiliated'. Looks like the city thinks this is not their traffic light. Let's call them now.

Number supplied by NCDOT is to an unidentified (no department) voicemail. Ouch.
Entered another see click fix ticket on the Raleigh city website
https://raleighnc.gov/fix-it-report-it-request-it/services/citizen-service-request-seeclickfix
The area around the fairgrounds and NCSU stadium is windowed out of the city. See click fix will only report an accurate location as unaffiliated. I fudged by checking a city limits GIS site and placing the pin on the edge of the Vet School, and created a new ticket.
While working through the form, the correct contact number for Traffic Light issues was shown:
919-996-3020
(I'm leaving all of these notes here in case someone tries to figure out how to report a similar problem - good luck!)
