I have reported these junkies numerous times. I've used this site, Twitter, and I've even called 242-COPS and they keep ignoring it... They'll send ACS and they just ask if they want help, they refuse and they'll just give them snacks and a drink and leave... they won't make them vacate...
This is also with the 2 mile radius the city, mayor, and ACS said they would be clearing from the Gateway Center... They said in their good neighbor agreement that they would clear illegal encampments within a 2 mile radius of the Gibson hospital...
I've been sending reports every day to every other day and including new pictures each day i drive by...
It might be left to us in the community to group up with whatever we have and manually get these people out of our communities & neighborhoods because the officials keep looking the other way.
ACS has CAUSED a 83% increase in vagrants in just one year. Their policies and practices are a complete failure.
If you vo ted for DWI Pat Davis and worthless Mayor Keller, this is what you voted for and what you deserve.
I'm with you Jake. No city officials/ACS/APD etc are doing anything about these issues. It just keeps getting WORSE! I think you're right; It's inevitably going to be up to us to "deal" with these issues...
Still NOT RESOLVED! Area is worse with more junk and trash! Campfires! Seen vehicles driving up to the tent visiting with the junkies probably selling or buying fentanyl.... This is ridiculous that it's been over 2 months and the city of abq incompetent employees can't go and actually resolve the issue.
Stop sending the worthless ACS! They have refused their so called help! They do not want help! SEND THE POLICE! They could be removed within 10 mins if you all would actually do your job!
They do not own the land or property!!
Guaranteed if this was near any of your homes, you all would have prioritized this and had police go and remove them immediately!!!
We should not have to pay taxes if you people are not going to do your job. We are saving all these reports, taking screen shots of your guy's responses and forwarding to the news and news sites. Anything to shine a light on how the city of Albuquerque is ignoring our reports and closing tickets when they haven't been resolved!
You people just transfer to other departments to get it out of your hands.
Everyone that keeps closing this without it actually being resolved should be fired immediately for falsifying reports and marking them as resolved, without actually resolving the issue!
To everyone that has been reporting this issue and all homeless encampments that's within 2 miles from the Gateway Center, i have good news. I have gotten word on the news going to do a story and they would like to hear from as many people affected by this...
I apologize for the short notice, but if you can come out around 1030am this Friday December 8th at the USS Bullhead Memorial Park, it's right behind the gateway center on San Pedro. I will definitely be there. She has told me that the city has told her they have been honoring their "Good Neighbor Agreement" and we just caught them in an outright lie.
Plus I have most if not all of our reports, replies, how they falsely claim the issue has been "resolved" when it hasn't, etc...
Please, if you live in this area or if you're just tired and fed up with this homeless infestation and the city doing nothing expect making it worse, then please come out and share your stories, feelings, etc...
This is how we reach the low information voters that believe everything the city tells them. This is how we show they haven't been honoring their Agreement. This is how we show that the homeless infestation has only gotten worse since they made the Gibson hospital as the gateway center, even though it wasn't close to where most of the homeless was, which was downtown area....
They did this to try and move the infestation out of the downtown area, where some or most of them work, to try and move it into our communities. That's why they didn't get the Crown hotel, which was the other building that they were going to use.
Now since the gateway center has come in and destroyed this area by attracting more homeless junkies and criminals. There's been two major retailers and pharmacies closed (walmart & Walgreens) and countless other small businesses in this area, due to the increase in crime, homeless, etc...
This Friday, December 8th around 1030am at USS Bullhead Memorial Park. It's right behind the gateway center on San Pedro... Their deadline is 130pm, so that's why we need to try and be there by 1030.....
