Your request regarding parks has been closed. Staff reviewed our stock of replacement letters that were salvaged from the old sign, after it was determined that we could no longer make the sign whole, we removed it. It has been removed with a 4" stub on the metal so we can either refurbish the existing sign and reweld it. The stubs were ground down to remove any sharp edges. If we are unable to refurbish we will look into attaching a new sign. The arts commission will be involved in this process.

Thank you very much. After years of looking at that sign while stopped at the light, and requesting it with the Arts Commission for years it’s finally being fixed. It reflects on the Tukwila state of mind
