Description

Our business is Premeir Dog training at 7175 Montevideo road, Jessup Maryland. Off of route 1/Washington Blvd. Our main road Montevideo does not have any drainage near us. When it rains we’re in trouble! If it downpours or floods, our business is shutdown, no fault to our own and believe me we have invested in what we could to try to solve some of the water issues but the water flooding is far too much and it fully floods our property and we cannot use our yards for the dogs liked intended. They have no place to use the restroom and such. Literally, all of the water pours down the road and into our parking lot and right into our kennel area. All of the front yards are out of service for hours being flooded. We cannot keep this going. There must be something done. These roads aren’t ours to fix. And we spend several thousands, more than 20K invested in drainage pipes in the front yard of our property, a drainage in the middle of our parking lot and another long one through the middle of the kennel area and into the back yards to help with some of the flooding. But the water is just too much. We are asking something to be done. We’ve been calling for a long time now. It’s to the point that our business suffers every time it rains and we’re already a small business. We don’t have the extra funds to fix more due to Counties roads. There’s no speed bumps even though we’ve reported that. We’ve reported pot holes, and so on. But no one ever reached out to us to even hear us out. We are now pleading for something to be done. We will continue to do what we have to do to get the help we need no matter what it takes. This is beyond us being patient and understanding. After hours of us waiting for the water to go down. We then spend hours cleaning the yards. The floods bring all sorts of mud, debris, trash, oil you name it into our property. The mud is so thick we then spend days cleaning the turf for the boarding, day care and training dogs that stay on this property 24/7. We have to power wash the turf to get the mud out of it. Then scrap the thick mud from the front and get the oil up from the pavement because it’s not safe for the animals in our care nor is the trash and some dogs just eat whatever they get ahold of. Also then we deal with whatever the bad odor is. It smells like sewage and clients complain and it’s embarrassing. It’s just too much! This cannot keep occurring. Whatever do we have to do for someone to care and help fix the roads that are out of our hands! Please someone get back to me asap. Thank you for your time!
