Thank you for your A2 Fix It request, #439949. Your request is important to us and will be prioritized and addressed based on the overall availability of city resources. Please note: If the nature of your request is urgent, such as water emergencies, please check Report a Problem - A2 Fix It for phone numbers to contact us. A2 Fix It is for non-urgent, non-emergency issues and is monitored during weekday business hours only. Your patience is appreciated.
Thank you for submitting your request for Lutz Avenue We apologize this has not been responded to until now.
The City of Ann Arbor is aware that the pavement on Lutz Avenue is in poor condition, and this street is identified as a capital improvement need for water utility improvements and street resurfacing.
Visit the City of Ann Arbor Pavement Condition Dashboard to see how pavement is rated throughout the City. As shown in the dashboard, pavement in poor or failing condition exists throughout the City and resources needed to improve all pavement conditions exceed the amount of resources available. https://a2-mi.maps.arcgis.com/apps/dashboards/dd97ee3e9bbc4c3caac01f9d117510b8
Visit a2gov.org/CIP to learn more about Ann Arbor’s Capital Improvements Planning (CIP) process and a2gov.org/a2cipmap for an interactive map of planned CIP projects
Improvements for Lutz Avenue are currently scheduled outside of the upcoming 6 year planning window (i.e., “beyond”). This means staff are aware of the need, but this project will not happen over the next 6 years, likely due to limited funding availability, higher priority needs, and/or project scheduling and coordination logistics (i.e., water utility improvements need to take place at the same time as street resurfacing to avoid digging up the road twice – so funding needs to be available from both the water and streets funding sources).
Needs are re-evaluated each Fall and updates will be reflected in the online resources. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
