If there is even a very thin sheet of ice on the curve of Billingsgate Drive, cars are skidding off and into our yard almost hitting our house. We live on a corner lot right at the curve. People drive way too fast and there are usually 4 to 5 cars tearing up our yard and trees. It is very dangerous. People when getting out of their cars in our yard have almost been hit by other cars sliding off the road.

We reported this situation to the city last year. They came out and evaluated our property and deemed it not qualifying for a guard rail. They put up two yellow caution signs at the corner of our lot. I guess it takes someone crashing into your house and possibly injuring or killing some one to make it eligible for a guard rail.

Anyway, last week we had 5 cars in our yard, taking the yellow caution signs down with them. Can't wait for the weather to get bad. Should be interesting. Maybe after something bad happens, we can sue the city!
