Are you kiddding me? Citizens are responsible for gathering pole numbers to have lights in the city replaced when they are out. Is there not a job in the city of Hartsville that covers maintaince of street lights. Maybe Mrs. Zieglar needs to be aware of this. The lights are out from 1st to 4th st not 2nd to 4th as I previously stated.

The street lights are owned by Duke Energy and they are responsible for replacing bulbs and/or any necessary repairs. All we can do is report any outages or issues directly to them for repairs.

Are there any City employees willing to take approximately 30 or so minutes to check the pole numbers on these lights when it is dark? I am sure the parents of Coker and Governer School students would appricate the city looking out for their childrens safety.

One of our employees went and got the pole numbers from this area. I am sending the information in to Duke Energy so they can make repairs.
