Agreed. We need more police stings.. I have a camera by the stop sign for the front of my house, I see up to 50% of the drivers run the stop sign, and a higher % speeding. When traveling 20 mph in our neighborhood I am tailgated and drivers quickly catch-up. This is a recipe for a disaster in a community with so many children and beach goers. We no longer walk in the neighborhood or allow our children to bike in the neighborhood. The city and county are aware of this, but similar to Gulf Blvd. there is no enforcement of the traffic safety already in place.

While the County does still have a Residential Traffic Management (RTM) program, budget reductions have limited the traffic calming device options available for us to use. Speed humps were removed from the program some years ago. However, the program does have other measures we can use to help calm traffic. Such as additional stop signs (if qualified), a radar speed feedback trailer, police enforcement, neighborhood flyers etc...
