I finally got an answer to why commercial trucks are permitted to park all up and down Columbia Rd even though this practice presents a safety hazard in addition to being an eyesore. Columbia Rd between LPP and Clarksville Pike is NOT considered a "residential street" because (supposedly) there are no residential houses that front onto the street. So therefore, trucks are permitted to park there. Here is proof this notion is incorrect. There are houses fronting 5700 Columbia I'd Road. I'd like Columbia Road to be correctly reclassified as a residential street.
