Dead fish by the hundreds in canal of Causeway Isles and Yacht Club estates. beathing difficulties and smell. Birds and other animals(dolphins) are in canal feeding. I have yet to see any cleanup efforts. Out of 12 red dots indicating severe red tide in the state of Florida, one is located at the end of Yacht Club estates and another at Treasure Island. A committed focus should be addressed in this area.

Thank you for reporting this issue to the City of St Petersburg. We have reviewed the information you provided and our Stormwater Environmental team was in the area earlier this week but not observe the reported issue.
Since the quantity of fish can dramatically change due to changing wind patterns and tidal flows you may see impacts from red tide which we may not be able to address. We will leave this request open until our team reinspects the area to confirm our ability to address the issue and I will provide an update here.
The City is also working alongside the County in response since the waters of Tampa and Boca Ciega Bay are multijurisdictional. Sampling for red tide and recreational water sampling is done by both the City and County and we want to provide you with some resources that may be of interest to you.
