When cars traveling east/west on Main attempt to make a left turn, traffic behind them have no room to go around but to only wait until the car has completed its left turn which usually happens when the traffic light changes leaving the traffic to wait again for the next green light. Looking either for a left turn arrow or reconfiguring the intersection with a left turn bay.

Service Request number W017948-111411 has been closed/completed. The Public Works Department advises," Main Street curb to curb width is limited and striping a left turn bay may cause operational problems for Asbury traffic turning onto Main street. Parking will need to restricted to stripe in the transition and the bay area. Adding a left turn arrow without the left turn bay will require a split phase (eastbound green/westbound red and vice-versa) and will cause more back-ups. To add the green arrow the signal system will have to be upgraded.
The suggestion is good and will be considered for future improvements if feasible to do so taking into account the operational and parking issues."
Thank you,
