Call the Police

That seems like a waste of police resources over permit issues. Isn't the code official's job to vetify and fine the owners if they are doing construction without permits; a stop work order?
Please tell me what are the police supposed to do?

The Construction Code Department should be calling the Police --. Not local residents ! The police won't respond to residents complains - it's the Construction Code Department who's not doing their job !!

Thank you Melanie! It is the dept of construction code who needs to take responsibility. They are already clearly aware of the problem. If construction code did their job, they would follow up and call the police themselves!
No, they instead decide to make it the constitutes problem? Code official, it is your problem and your job to fix it! You call the police since you are unable to enforce the code!! Finish your job!

matter is and has been addressed

A resident called and stated that construction work is still taking place after the issuance of stop-work orders and violations from Construction Code.

At this point the developer clearly DGAF about rules or permits as many developers in Jersey City feel they are above the law. This photo taken today 11/23 at 11:30am of 3 construction workers at work on the building, even with a stop work order

This "construction code official" certainly is getting cash on the side. Every other verified official has a name.....not this "official". I wonder why....$$$$
Now i guess it's up to the inspectors. If they do not have the permits and have a stop work order, the house will not pass. However the inspector could also receive a nice cash payout and pass them anyway. Corruption is rampant everywhere but JC has been known for their corruption for over a century.
