I just wanted to provide an update that 2nd Street is still on our radar. JCMUA currently has an active traffic permit to complete work on this street until at least September 1. After work is complete, there is a 3-month settlement period, so at this time repaving is estimated to occur the following year. We would re-stripe the bike lane once the construction and repaving is complete. At this time we are not considering a protected bike lane on this portion of 2nd Street due to space limitations, but are considering that for portions of 2nd Street east of this location that are wider.
