Description
It's great that there's now a bike lane for cyclists heading southeast on Packard approaching State. And of course there's a bike lane on State itself after you turn right on it.
The problem? There is no connection between the Packard bike lane and the State one. It peters out at the corner, right at the most dangerous spot. My experience as a cyclist turning right is that cars turning right obtrude into my space -- in front of me, behind me, next to me.
We need infrastructure that tells motorists turning right onto State that they need to leave space for cyclists who are also turning. Delineators and/or paint I would think but I leave it up to professionals to determine what the best method of preventing cars from hitting cyclists is.
Thank you!
