2 of the bike lane bollards on State southbound between Granger and Packard have been run over
  • 1301-1325 S State St Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor

Hi, folks. Could you make another pass at plowing the bike lanes on State Street? The lanes are passable between Granger and Packard but only by staying in a 1' wide, wildly veering path that would be very difficult after dark. They are passable, though, so please prioritize accordingly.

Thank you for all the work at snow removal this week.

Hi, folks. The bike lane is blocked with gravel again after last night's storm; anyone going through after dark is going to wipe out.

(This is separate from https://seeclickfix.com/issues/15077239 -- thank you for cleaning the gravel out previously. I'm not sure what the root problem is here -- the construction on Hill? Gravel driveways in need of maintenance?)

    Thank you.

It's great that there's now a bike lane for cyclists heading southeast on Packard approaching State. And of course there's a bike lane on State itself after you turn right on it.

The problem? There is no connection between the Packard bike lane and the State one. It peters out at the corner, right at the most dangerous spot. My experience as a cyclist turning right is that cars turning right obtrude into my space -- in front of me, behind me, next to me.

We need infrastructure that tells motorists turning right onto State that they need to leave space for cyclists who are also turning. Delineators and/or paint I would think but I leave it up to professionals to determine what the best method of preventing cars from hitting cyclists is.

    Thank you!

Revel and Roll has once again piled snow from their parking lot onto the public sidewalk.

This is a persistent problem with this business and SeeClickFix has been ineffective at real change (see previous reports). Even when a Community Standards officer has time to visit Revel and Roll and ask them to follow the law, the very next snow they again block the sidewalk with their parking lot snow. Is there some new protocol we can implement for repeat offenders so that the sidewalks are actually available for use?

    Thanks.

Community Car Wash cleared the portion of the sidewalk that they drive on to access their property, but not the full width (I *think* this pile of snow is their responsibility rather than Revel & Roll's)
  • 400 E Stadium Blvd Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor

Ann Arbor Golf and Outing has not cleared the snow from the triangle (the bit of land they own on the *north side* of Stadium between Kipke and Crisler).

I don't know if they cleared their long sidewalk on the south side.

This has been a persistent problem with Ann Arbor Golf over the years -- is there some way we can work with them to plow their sidewalk at the same time they plow their private parking lot? They are legally required to clear the sidewalks after all.

I'd love it if Pioneer High School students didn't have to walk in the middle of Stadium to get to and from school.

    Thank you.

The east bound bike lane in front of the high school has not been plowed and is completely blocked by 2" of compacted snow and ice as of Sunday morning. Cyclists are forced into the 35 MPH lanes.

The lane is clear after Main Street -- it's just right in front of the high school that was not done.

Can it be cleared Monday before students return on Tuesday? Thank you.

The far right lane (the bike lane) is completely blocked to traffic by the copious black walnuts (?). It's super dangerous -- I was forced to use the 35 MPH lane in the dark.

The bike lane markings on the west side just south of Hoover are entirely worn off. I've had drivers honk and swerve because while I can see the vestiges of the lane markings they really can't.

Can we get some paint on the road so drivers know not to drive in the bike lane? Thank you.

  • S Division St & E William St Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor

There are two properties on Division north of William who have cleared their private property by blocking the roadway with an impenetrable 3' pile of snow. One is the property on the corner; the other appears to the Oxford-managed apartment building midblock.

Individual property owners should not be permitted to move snow from their parking lots and driveways into the public roadway. Note that the entire bike lane is blocked with 3' mounds of compacted snow that was moved there deliberately by property owners.

  • 328 S 5th Ave Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor

AAATA or the post office has cleared their private property by putting all the snow in the road.

Note: this is NOT a case where the road has been narrowed as the result of City plowing. Individual property owners are clearing their parking lots by dumping their snow into the public road.

The pile must be 3' tall of compacted snow.

This is not a duplicate of 9343708, which addresses the pile of snow Firestone has blocked the public road with at the corner of Huron and Division. This is a separate issue; there is a second pile of snow that has been deposited near the driveway at the midpoint of Division between Huron and Washington. I don't know if it is Firestone itself or if it's the apartment building that chose to block the bike lane by moving snow from their private property into the road.
  • 402 E Huron St Ann Arbor, MI, 48104, USA - Ann Arbor

Firestone has once again moved the snow from their parking lot into the public road. They have done this in two separate locations this time; I'll file a second report for the second one.

This is an ongoing problem at this location. See reports # 9170671, 7427073 and 9170193.

Note that when this was reported on January 9 of this year that the Community Standards Officer gave them extra time to remove the snow. Since they have now committed the offense *again* I urge you to grant no more extensions, which only serve to extend the time Firestone is storing their snow on the public road rather than preventing future occurrences.

One of the businesses along here (Revel and Roll Plaza? Revel and ROll itself? not sure which) has pushed all the snow from their parking lot onto the sidewalk, forcing pedestrians into the road. This is a years-long problem with these businesses.
