Not a category for this ongoing issue. City Alley drains to center of block into backyard of 1636 n Claremont owner has regarded back yard as a defacto rain garden. It would be nice to have city provide a curb to prevent city storm water from flooding backyard. During major rain storms 1x per year the water drains from alley into backyard then flows into basement door areaway then into basement then into basement floor drain. alderman's office has been contacted on two past occasions with no response for solving this use of my land as a rain garden for the city's lack of proper pitching of alley slope and control of runoff
