Tractor Trailers parking in residential zone raising concerns of residents causing safety issues around visibility for children to cross near Troup School

It is totally illegal to park a giant tractor-trailer truck on a residential street. It should be ticketed and towed immediately. A hefty fine should be imposed. The previous comment is totally out of line and not okay. The driver actually could get permission to park at Stop and Shop plaza if it was legitimate. This truck could be stolen or otherwise unlicensed. Historic Dwight neighborhood gets used and abused by unscrupulous and illegal operators who are THE REAL CRIMINALS!
"Stolen" and "speeding" tractor trailers vs. hungry children on Beers St.
First world problem vs 3rd world reality in New Haven.
Please document the last victim of a tractor trailer in the neighborhood and I'll show you 30 people who've been killed by real criminals.

So what is the actual complaint here? Visibility? Obstruction of traffic? Blocking driveways or limiting street parking? I live in the neighborhood and those streets are always empty. I walk those streets everyday and there's no Visibility issue to cross the street. You're making a such big deal over parking and for people that actually work hard for a living. Do you make that same fuss over drugs being dealt on orchard st or Kensington st? Or even on beers st right across from the school? Or how about shots you hear at night??
One wrong does not cancel another wrong. It is illegal to park a tractor-trailer truck on a residential street. This issue is not going to go away. Since you refuse to cooperate voluntarily, we have no choice but to escalate the situation to the highest level of enforcement and have your vehicles towed and severe fines. If you operate a legitimate business, rent a parking space for your truck at a commercial lot. We all work hard for a living. We hate drug dealing and other bad behavior. That is not a justification for you breaking the law and making our neighborhood a tractor-trailer parking lot.
You can escalate to whatever authority you want. Fine, tow, does not affect me one bit. Those are not my vehicles you're referring to there. This is my neighborhood, and I am commenting as a neighbor. My question to you is; do you also contact the highest level of enforcement for the more pressing illegal issues that we have going on around here?
The bottom line is this, some feel this is a problem others don't. The city has laws you don't to agree with them but you do have to follow them or suffer the consequences. You can also try to change them but until then you still have to obey them. As far as the other problems we have in New Haven, two wrongs do not make a right.
Parking enforcement personnel investigated this issue and found no vehicles in violation of city ordinance. We are closing this issue, but if the problem persists please generate a new request with verified information and details. Thank you for your help in this matter.
