We were driving on Webb Bridge Rd yesterday and saw the work being done for the sidewalk, which is great. Then we were startled by the sudden appearance of the concrete guide that was added on the line where the side of the road was marked. For one, there is no connection to the side walk that is being extended and it's further out in the road than said side walk. It also has now taken any space that bikers would use when biking on Webb Bridge Road. Please check the design as I can see cars running into this concrete piece and it being a cause for accidents!

Thank you for your feedback. Warning signs and an electronic message board are installed to inform drivers of the work zone and narrow lane width due to the roadway construction. Temporary tapes and raised reflective pavement markers have also been installed along the edge of the roadway to improve visibility. While the sidewalk construction is going on, new pavement and striping will be in place within the project limit on Webb Bridge Road. New striping will put westbound thru lane away from the new curb and would create a safe path for traffic flow. A slow driving speed (maximum of 25 MPH) is recommended in the work zone.
