This once beautiful park is a disgrace. The building is a mess. The tennis courts are horrendous. The lake is a mess it needs to be cleaned, dredged and restocked. The beautiful carousel has not opened in almost 2 years. The park is clean. Thank you to the few park workers. The South shore is getting new updated parks. Why is this park being ignored. We on the North Shore also want to enjoy our once beautiful park.

DPR provided the following information:
"Upon inspection the reported condition was not found, and, therefore, no action was taken.
There is a contract scheduled to repair the roof at the Willowbrook Park restrooms.

A Request for Proposals (RFP) has been placed for a concession to reconstruct, operate and maintain a year-round tennis facility at Willowbrook Park.
NYC Parks does not have the resources to dredge the Willowbrook Lake.
The Willowbrook Carousel is operated and maintained by the Staten Island Greenbelt. The carousel was closed for a short time for repairs, however it reopened on July 1 and has remained opened throughout the Summer. As of Labor day, the carousel is only open on Weekends and will close for the season October 10.
