Leave these people alone and let them do them! What makes you think the fruit you buy in any other location is any safer. Mind ya business and keep moving! These ppl are trying to make a living!

Hey keyboard warrior! So you think it's OK to obstruct the flow of traffic & possibly get ran over out there. And all the panhandling is OK with you also until they bang on your hoop ride & slow down your drive thru the light right!

I'm inclined to agree with Mgentile86 on the fruit sellers and thinking that's not an escalation of "agressive panhandling" but some folks trying to make a living. I highly prefer that to the candy selling kids on the path train. I do agree that there's worry the folks selling fruit could get hurt in traffic at this intersection, but I don't think ticketing these clearly in-need people will give them resources to better their situation (so they don't have to do this) or actually make a dent in this happening. I think we need better resources for people who are facing homelessness and joblessness in our city no matter what traffic intersection it does or doesn't slow down.

Thank you ^^ - i just don't think its right to ticket these people who very clearly are just doing this to make ends meat. I highly doubt they want to be out there but rather need to be out there. Ticketing them? Possibly getting them arrested and taken away from their families is not the way to go. If you don't like what's happening at that intersection just ignore it and go on about your day or take a different route. Its not that hard.

...and to the comment above that is calling me a "keyboard warrior" okay keyboard Karen! Stop ya complaining and keep it moving!! I live in this area and those people are very nice and the ones that are slightly aggressive I just ignore...not that hard. Keep ya window up, head straight forward and wait for your light is my advice to you!

Hey neighbors, it would be really nice if we could discuss this without insulting each other, particularly with terms that insult so many other people in the process. Because traffic safety and flow, the homeless and jobless crises, and how to better address both are very worth talking about, but epithets like "warrior" and "karen" carry with them huge, unspoken, (mostly gross) connotations and their use insults whole swaths of other people too, encouraging all of us to think not of other people as individuals but as types of people. Even if we disagree on some of what's on this page, we are each of us a whole person, not merely a type of person.

To this date this aggressive panhandling is still an issue here in 440 by communipaw & over by the mall.
This is not a good way to be welcomed into JC with this going on.
It's definitely not like this at the Holland tunnel which is another entrance to JC.

This is still open as this continues to get worse there on 440 & Communipaw
