What is the status of this ticket? The ground above the drain pipe is sinking on grassy areas. This is concerning because neighborhood kids routinely walk across the grassy area getting to/from the bus stop.
How does that address the issue of the other end of the drain pipe on the corner of Knight Court and 9342 Kings Grant Road (as noted on 3/4/2022)? The ground above the drain pipe is sinking on the grassy area. Neighborhood kids and adults walk on the grass routinely (walking dogs, going to school bus, etc.). What is the plan on resolving this issue? Is there a time frame?
Ok. So… what is the long term solution and is there a time frame? The frustration in the culdesac is we aren’t getting any communication as to when the issue will be fixed permanently. The fill you put in will be gone after the next rain… and we’ll just keep calling you back.
Good morning - This location has been evaluated, quantified, and released to one of our contractors for repair. Everything that we can do on our end to prepare for the permanent fix has been done.
Unfortunately, there are material shortages throughout the industry...what used to take days or weeks now frequently take several months after placing orders.
Further complicating things is that while demand for their services remains high, many of our contractors are still experiencing labor shortages stemming from the pandemic.
Please remember to be kind to the County crews who are making these temporary repairs - they have nothing to do with the delays to the permanent fix. They're doing what's immediately possible to keep your area and many others functional while we're working on your behalf to coordinate through all of these difficult circumstances.
Thank you for contacting the Howard County DPW Bureau of Highways. This issue is now closed in Tell HoCo. If you require more information, please contact Department of Public Works Highways office 410-313-7450.
