    On the West side of Manor Lane between 4950 and 4955 Manor Lane, there is an utility pole that is leaning in the northward direction. The pole has a number “2” on it. The pole is located where the lane dips as it approaches the Rte 108 intersection. My concern is that a bad storm may knock the utility pole down and shut off electricity and block the exit from the lane.

    kids are in the skate park again. found out how they are getting in...the back part of the fence has been destroyed so they are slipping in. we have witnessed every day roughly from 2 to 10 people in that park. no face mask...also, one day there was a toddler in the park with 8 or so other people.

    The gates to both baby juggle gym area and larger older kids play area are both now broken off and missing. They have never been replaced, but need to. These help keep children safe and secure in play area. Please have replaced, so smaller ones can not wonder off into parking car areas

    Can you please put some benches IN THE SHADE by the North Laurel Community Center building? It's too hot and bright to sit on the benches near the entrances. Perhaps a bench or two could be put under one of the trees across the sidewalk from the building.
    Many of us walk in the area and would like a shady spot to take a brief rest next to the building.

    It has been brought to my attention that Mom's 4 Liberty Howard County, which is a 501c4 political organization which is also a recognized extremist group as tracked by the Southern Poverty Law Center is hosting a gathering at the community center on December 16, 2023. Mom's for Liberty is anti-government and anti-LGBTQIA+ rights.

    Having the community center host such event is at odds with the Howard County values and community center mission.

    In fact it is in violation of Howard County civil code Title 12.200.III.6 - which prohibits the Howard County government which directs the government to "direct its efforts and resources toward eliminating discriminatory practices within Howard County in: (6) Any other facets of the lives of its citizens where such practices may be found to exist."

    Allowing the community center to allow the use of facilities by an Anti-LGBTQIA+ extremist group is in effect using Howard County resources to support such discrimination.
