    566-622 6th St Oakland, CA, 94607, USA - Old City-Produce And Waterfront
RV's are taking over. There are tarps and trash everywhere. There are also three aggressive pit bulls that patrol the area making sure no one gets too close. Not good for a public park.

Yet another "encampment" has started, just across the street from a 4-month encampment that was shut down last week. Quick!!! Get it before it spreads. The SUV in the parking lot is part of it, playing music all day with doors open.

What was first reported when it was just one small tent has since grown into an encampment. And continues to grow. Completely blocks the sidewalk. Next to restaurants and residential buildings.

Ambius Landscape is once again using a gas-powered leaf blower. The noise, the dust, the toxic pollution is terrible. I've contacted Greg Minor who "copied the City's Call Center who can refer this to code enforcement or Public Works staff that may be able to assist here." So as not to disturb Mr Minor, I'm posting this directly to the City Call Center, hoping that it will get some response. Thanks.

901 Jefferson uses Ambius, a landscape service which insists on using gas-powered leaf blowers. Every Monday morning, the neighborhood is held hostage by the noise and toxic fumes created by these machines. Despite requests to property management and Ambius that the landscapers switch to safer, more environmentally-friendly electric-powered alternatives, they refuse.

Could someone, maybe Greg Minor, please call the property management and Ambius to ask them to respect the city's laws and the neighborhood's residents and make the switch.

The abandoned cars surround the park. They, and many others, have been there for months. The homeless and dealers rule the park itself. Please help. Tow the vehicles, arrest the drug dealers, and fence off the entire park. It's a waste of space and resources. for taxpayers.

I'd take pictures and report each vehicle separately but there are individuals in the park that will threaten me with violence if I approach the vehicles or the park. This picture was taken while driving by.

Yet another broken-down vehicle parked around Lafayette Square Park. I'd include them all but there's too many.

Buick Park Avenue. On Jefferson between 10th & 11th

Old model gray Ford Freestar minivan. One tire flat. Corner of Jefferson and 8th. Been parked there for weeks.
  • 624-648 10th St Oakland, CA, 94607, USA - Old City-Produce And Waterfront
There are still many abandoned cars parked here. They are unregistered. And more keep coming. The parking spaces border Lafayette Square Park which is basically a homeless village. The cars are just more garbage that accumulates in the area and keeps taxpaying people from enjoying the park.
  • 1000-1056 Jefferson St Oakland, CA, 94607, USA - Downtown

Lafayette Square Park: every light is out. EVERY LIGHT! Homeless have once again taken over the park. Anytime there is a clean-up, or the lights are fixed, the homeless move right back in that night, break ALL the lights and live there undisturbed for months, years. It is also a notorious place to do and deal drugs.

Please fix the lights, clear out the homeless, and enforce the rules of the park so everyone can enjoy it and feel safe. Or board up the bathrooms (again), fence in the entire park and let it all die. Taxpayer are paying for maintenance of a park they can NEVER use.

I'd include a picture but it's pitch black.

How does one request an upgrade to the street lighting on 8th Street between Washington & Clay). This stretch has become increasingly popular with pedestrians but remains quite dark and dangerous. Installing street lights to match the rest of the neighborhood would be ideal.
