The street was repaved last fall and we greatly appreciate it. However, because the road bed has not been properly prepared, we are already seeing heaves where tucks such as UPS etc drive.
That the brand new street is deteriorating in less than a year is deplorable. Laying down exactly the same paving as before and expecting different results is proving to be shortsighted and inadequate as a solution. Allowing heavy trucks to speed down Dose Terrace and skid to a stop – thereby putting the thin paving under extreme, destructive loads must be stopped. Suggest signage for large trucks to only back down Dose Terrace street- end.
A neighbor, Gregory Erickson has reported to the City that garbage trucks have redamaged the surface by accelerating and hard breaking moving the pavement. It needs to be re-inspected and maybe rerolled.
Please reference my post from 6/17/14. Please ask someone from the streets department to come look at the site and the damage and please ask the city to close the loop with the garbage hauler.
