I wrote to Palacio two years ago about this exact thing! It's not just smaller motorcycles, though, I ride an 800cc and I still can't trigger the light. I did get a response from Palacio's office - they essentially gave me a pat on the head and sent me on my way. I can't get off my street without making an illegal move or going so far out of the way it's ridiculous! I think that this just doesn't effect enough people to be on their radar. What would be a good solution? Can the lights be programmed to automatically give a U / left turn every couple of cycles? Can the sensors be made more sensitive? Who's got ideas?!
