As a black women myself I feel so sorry for you,its not a way to live,pray that she will move, share your feelings with her landlord maybe,or try to talk to her on a good day its sad

Thanks, Sunny Days...who I feel sorry for is her children..It is out of respect for them that I don't escalate the situation...There was no need for her to play the race card and yell through the wall calling me a white cracker, etc.....I could have easily yelled racist names at her but why lower myself? The issue was yelling at midnight..what's skin color got to do with it?

As a black man, i also feel sorry for you. I have your situation, but just racially-reversed. My neighbor... has issues. I knew it when i moved in, just didn't realize it was racial till about several years later when she went on a racial epitaphed tirade over her parking spot outside her house. My wife and my young son was home, over heard it and my wife went outside to confront her. Like you, she didn't not throw racists terms back at her, but just warned her not to ever let her hear that word slip out her mouth again. When this neighbor later discovered what she was angry over, wasn't even our fault. Do you think she had it in her to apologize... nope! She just pretended as nothing ever happened. I have forgiven her, because the bible tells us to do so, but not FORGOTTEN. There is no forgetting of that.

When people are like this, all you can really do is pity them. Just consider the source and ask yourself, "How miserable of a person that this individual must be... to have to stoop to this level? I know this person to be miserable, her health is the greatest, her marriage didn't work out and most of her kids aren't close with her in my opinion. So in the end, its like the old saying, misery loves company. She's down in life, so she tries to pull you down as well. Don't let her get that. What i would do is document everything. While we didn't call the police immediately, we did notify them over this "disturbance" so that they could document it in their system. I STRONGLY suggest you do this, just in case if theirs a problem in the future, they have a record of it. Imagine a problem, and you guys have an altercation, and you try to reference this incident to the cops without proof... one of the first things they are going to ask you is... "Why didn't you notify us of this???"

I agree with RX774. This woman sounds unstable and is at the very least violating the noise ordinance which says people must be quiet between midnight and 8 am. I recently moved from DH and in fact only a few blocks from you... this has nothing to do with race and everything to do with the fact that your neighbor has some personal issues she needs to address. Call the township (they are really very helpful) and if they can't do anything complain to your own landlord -- if s/he thinks s/he might lose a good tenant because of this, s/he might also put some pressure on the township. She is breaking the law -- maybe not racial bullying (not sure) but definitely the noise ordinance and by interfering with your enjoyment of your home. Make sure there is a record of your complaint either with the township or with the police. Good luck.
